At Musgrave Orthodontics, we offer four types of braces: stainless steel or "silver braces," gold colored braces, clear braces, and clear aligners.
"Silver braces" remain the most popular style of braces. Many children and adults love to decorate their braces with various colors. The assortment of colors can be changed at each visit.
“Gold colored braces” may be preferred by patients who want their braces less noticeable. These braces may blend in with a person’s skin tones and may provide a more elegant appearance.

"Clear braces" are the least obvious type of brace since they are translucent and allow the tooth's natural color to be seen. With the addition of our tooth colored arch wires, the braces are virtually unnoticeable to the casual observer.
"Clear aligners" move the teeth by having patients wear a series of clear trays that are changed every three weeks. Sometimes called "invisible braces," this type of treatment is reserved for patients who have less severe dental mal-alignments and 12 year old molars already in place. Patients' beginning clear aligner therapy must be very compliant since the trays are removable. These types of "braces" are the least noticeable.
