At Musgrave Orthodontics, we offer four types of braces. Stainless steel or "silver braces", "Frictionless" braces, Gold colored braces, and Clear braces.
"Silver braces" remain the most popular style of braces. Many children and adults love to decorate their braces with various colors. The assortment of colors can be changed at each visit.
"Frictionless" braces are for those patients that do not care about decorating their braces with colors. These brackets work best for patients that require tooth removal and want to close the "extraction" space as fast as possible. Treatment time may be decreased from 3 to 6 months with this style of brace.
“Gold colored braces” may be preferred by patients who want their braces less noticeable. These braces may blend in with a person’s skin tones and may provide a more elegant appearance.
"Clear braces" are the least obvious with the brace fading into the color of the tooth surface.
